Advanced Test Mode
- Turn off the receiver
- Press and hold both the “Clear” and “Log Data” buttons at the same time - and don’t let go. Press the power key to turn the receiver on.
- After you hear a beep, release the “Clear” and “Log Data” buttons. At this point you should see the message “Test Menu, Setup/Control”.
- Using the numeric keypad, enter 7635142 (spells TRIMBLE)
- A MORE soft button option will appear.
Real-Time Test Mode
This mode gives access to detailed information about the internals of the receiver while the receiver is running normally.
- With the receiver running normally, press the “Log Data” button
- Using the numeric keypad, enter 7635142 (spells TRIMBLE)
- You will be presented with a test menu, showing stuff like power supply and PLL voltages, per-SV stats (i.e. doppler shifts, multipath effects, etc.). There is also a simulation mode accessible from this menu.
- Press clear at any time to go back to the regular menus; the receiver remains in test mode
- To get back to the test menu, press the “Log Data” button, then the “TEST MODE –” soft button.
The receiver will remain in this test mode even if it is powered off and back on, you can disable it by going back into the menu and pressing the “QUIT TEST” soft button.
ROM Monitor Mode
This one seems to be very sensitive to timing. I’ve only been able to get this one to work once.
- Turn off the receiver
- Press and hold both the 5 and 6 buttons at the same time - and don’t let go. Press the power key to turn the receiver on.
- When receiver displays
REMOTE MONITOR ACTIVE
, release the buttons.
Remote Program Mode
I don’t know what this is.
- Turn off the receiver
- Press and hold both the “ALPHA” and “MODIFY” buttons at the same time - and don’t let go. Press the power key to turn the receiver on.
- The receiver will display “PROGRAMMING REMOTE RECEIVER”
Silent Mode
This appears to simply disable the beeper on power-up.
- Turn off the receiver
- Press and hold the “<” button and don’t let go. Press the power key to turn the receiver on.
